Rover 75 beeps on locking AND unlocking after loosing and getting a new key
Hi everyone,
My partner lost the metal part of the only key to our rover 75 tourer. A company made new keys and now the car beeps on unlocking as well as locking! We have made numerous emails back and forth to the company but they are effectively washing their hands of it. Can anyone pleases shed any light on this issue??? Many thanks! |

Beeping usually means there's something open somewhere
Also, make sure your key has the transponder or it won't start |

Thanks, it’s always beeped on locking if something is open but it beeps even if nothing is open, plus it beeps on unlocking which seems to be unheard of!
Also this has only happened since they made the new keys (and straight away) so it must be something they’ve done! |

Hi Trikey,
I believe they used the old fob that had the missing metal part for one of the keys but I wasn’t around when they did the work. We only had the one key and the metal part fell out of the fob and we have been unable to find it. I just spoke to Big Russ and he hasn’t heard of this before, any ideas greatly appreciated! |

Do you mean locking and unlocking on the button or with the key in the door lock as you don't say.
