Be careful when refitting so you don't damage the O rings I'd fit the elbow first and then the pipe so you can have the jubilee in an accessible position.

Well, I did it, 30 minutes from start to finish. I will test drive it tomorrow morning, if I haven't fitted the jubilee clips properly what symptoms will I get?. Many thanks for all the help and advice and how-to. John.

If the clips aren't tight enough the pipe will pop off resulting in a drastic loss of power and masses of black smoke out the exhaust. Apart from that nothing. Carry a screwdriver or socket just in case but I'm sure you'll be fine.

Thanks Wullie, We live in a small sheltered flat, so every spanner, tool, nut and bolt is carried around permanently, because 'er indoors won't let me store them in the flat. Thanks. John.

After fitting the new pipe we went to Llandudno for a day out yesterday and the difference was striking, much more power and pulls like a train. Many thanks to all who helped and advised. John.
