Worked on a fairly complex engine management system in the rain
After slackening the distributor pinch bolt with a 7/16 AF spanner, I removed the dissy and cleaned up the faces of the points with a diamond file, then reset the gap with a 15 thou searcher. We now have a spark, but still no fuel, so off with the float chamber lid on the HS4 S.U., hmm bone dry, and sure enough there is no suction from the mechanical pump Never mind he says, fills up the bowl with petrol, out with the choke and after a couple of seconds of winding over he's alive Last started in 2002, so fourteen years of slumber comes to an end.......just the clutch to free off now, and the recommissioning can begin in earnest Brian |
