Have you put the skins folder inside of the content folder?

Not sure what else to suggest to be honest, it just worked for me.

Yes, I have put the files in the skin (and skins) folder inside content. Complete path is:

Just been trying to figure out what's happening but it looks like your folder is more or less the same as mine.

Apart from the extra files you already had.

Not sure what to suggest, sorry.

Will have a look in the manual to see if there's anything in there.

Your persistence and help is much appreciated!!

I am starting the think it must be a permission issue. I prepare the card on a Linux machine and am unable to change permissions.

On the other hand.... it might be that I am using a different version of the software than you do. Mine is Kastell's Ultimate Edition Version 9.6.7.235654

Would you be so kind as to check which version of iGO you have?

Just had a look at the version number in the car, it's the same as yours.

The manual isn't much help either.

Maybe Linux has a slightly different file structure to windows, grasping at straws here I think though.

I'm not very familiar with Linux so wouldn't know unfortunately.

I wonder if there's a setting in the sys file that could be stopping it.

I'm just uploading the whole Igo folder that's running on my unit.
You can then see if there's any differences to yours or you can always download it and try it to see if it works in your unit.

I guess that would tell us straight away if there's a difference between the two.

Will let you have the link when it's finished.

So I downloaded the files, put them on an SD card and installed. That was successful. Started the program and concluded you have a different version of the software (had a standard iGO start-up screen - maybe because the branding file is missing). I went to the settings and went to display. All I could select was the default skin.

I am starting to loose faith in my computer skills.

Could anyone please explain what is going on? (Sean/Jeff to the rescue???)

I'm sorry it didn't work was hoping it would have done.

I honestly didn't notice the branding file was not there.

I'm quite stumped as to what to suggest and sorry I haven't been more help.

Hopefully someone will come along who knows more about it.
