Hi,

Well I tried out the homemade induction kit today for the 190, bought all the parts from eBay and gave a go.... what a noise after 3kRPM!

I know it's not the greatest mod for fuel or adding power but I thought i'd give it a little go and can always swap back to the airbox if needed.

I also have an induction kit on my ZS, for no other reason than it sounds good (to me anyway)

Removed my front mudflaps from the ZT- just got so irritated with the "scrape scrape" over sleeping policemen on the roads, into every supermarket etc etc. No evidence of any adverse effects to the bodywork, but now in the rain on a motorway or similar I will be producing lots of spray for following traffic. Note the MGZT is the standard height, no lowering or the like. Chris S.

lesser of the two evils with front mud flaps on a ZT I found.

I had some fitted on my previous car and they ended up getting badly scuffed and ripped and I used to back in my garage or use the car park at my local railway station.

my current car had had them fitted but you can see damage caused to the paint work where the dirt collects behind them.

They do cut down on the spray up the doors though in bad weather.

Tuesday night I picked my other half and step daughters up from the airport, driving home my abs light came on & I lost my speedo :mad
That was ordered Wednesday morning & arrived today. I replaced it this afternoon & while I was under there I thought I trace my coolant leak. Sadly it is my water pump. I've ordered a replacement pump & thermostat housing as well as. I also thought I'd spray cavity wax into the chassis & sills. Alas I found a huge rust hole by front suspension brace
Sometimes you can really hate cars. When I checked the underside last year this section was solid.
All this expense & I still haven't fixed the running issue. I'm waiting for an injector from Mickeyboy & the fuel rail sensor from Rimmers - it was in stick at their suppliers when I ordered it but is now on back order. Its the first time in 15 years this has happened.

Finally, yesterday I replaced the rear window trim as mine had some damage. I picked up replacements from a scrapyard. There was some corrosion below the window level so I derusted and repainted. I'm glad I done it as mine were much worse than I expected.

Attempted to remove the swimming pool in the car using a wet & dry vacuum cleaner.

Thankfully it did a decent job, although the 2 pints of flat Guinness floating in the bottom of the vac didn't look brilliant.
