Default Announcing the 1st North West Charity Event Sunday 26th May 2013

I am pleased to announce the first
North West Charity Event!

Sunday 26th May 2013 at 11:30am - 6pm

Recently, as I am sure that many of you are aware we sadly lost two of our forum members, who will always be with us in our thoughts.

I would like to celebrate their lives by dedicating this event in their memory and sharing it with you.

Mr Eric Mercer known to the forum as Scouseeric, and Mr Thomas Leek (Tam) known to the forum as rotrex.

All proceeds to this event will be donated to charities as below.

Eric's family have asked that monies be donated to a multiple sclerosis charity of our choice, so I have chosen the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Tam's family have asked that any donations are made to The St Andrews Hospice in Airdrie.

All proceeds will be split equally between the two charities.

The event will be held on Sunday 26th May 2013 at 11:30am - 6pm.

The venue is the North West regular meeting place,
the Hollow Tree Pub in Stretton WA4 4LX.
Full details on how to get there are AVAILABLE HERE

The pub is a fantastic family pub with an indoor and an outdoor play area for the children, brilliant food and most importantly a massive car park!
Don't come alone, bring the Mrs and the kids! My wife and 3 year old daughter will be there and would love someone to play with!

This would be a great first meet for new members also, with the wealth of experience available, spanners and T4 diagnostics you could make sure that your newest purchase is in tip top condition. Plus the chance to win some great raffle prizes.

The 75 and ZT Owners Club have kindly allowed us to sell club merchandise at the event and have agreed to donate 50% of the sale price of all club merchandise sold, to go towards the selected charities.
I would like to thank Christopher for his generosity.

Marinabrian has kindly offered to donate himself and his T4 magic wand for the event. Be it problem solving, or option enabling or disabling he has asked that anyone who makes use of his expertise and his T4 make a donation on the day towards the charity fund.

All of Brian's usual T4 services will be available on the day, including 160 remaps, however we would ask for a substantial charity donation for the remap to be applied to your car.

Arctic has kindly offered to supply and fit 2 handbrake compensators free of charge, on the basis of the person receiving the compensators will make a donation on the day. Thanks very much Arctic.

Steve916 has kindly donated two of his clever boot opening kits, ideal for your MK2 that opens the boot with the key remote as the boot lid will magically spring open, or for the same effect from your MK1 by pressing the boot release in the drivers footwell. These normally sell for £30, but as Steve has donated them, they will be available on the day, supplied and fitted (by me) for £30, with all money going straight to charity. First come first served on the day!

Jules has been kind enough to offer the following deals with all proceeds going to charity;
Fit Plenum guards and bonnet divider spacers for those who want.
(suggested donation £10 both jobs)
Demonstration on someone's car how grease the bonnet cables.
(suggested donation value £5)
There will be a Kenlowe Cooling kit ready tailored to fit a petrol/diesel 75.
(suggested Donation £120 or maybe I'll put it as Raffle prize, either way the " charity pot" will benefit !
Also we'll bring our patented Aircon efficiecy kit.
(suggested donation will be £5 per car).

I will be there with my tools in hand to help anyone who may want my services, be it a leaking rear windscreen, blocked plenum, headlight bulbs, a filter change or anything non oil based that I can help out with. Anyone who has attended the North West meets will know that my magic spanners fix most things..... Again, like Marinabrian I will take no money for this but I will ask you to make a donation to the charity fund on the day for anything I do for you.

There will be a raffle, obviously with all monies going to charity fund. I am hoping that you, the fantastic members can offer up some goodies to be raffled off.

Yet another initiative which makes this club stand out above all the others. Well done.
