Always used Vodafone I'm the ones I have, I suppose its better to choose what provider has the best coverage on your area.

Thanks Guys.
Mine has come with an EE sim, but some have a minimum usage clause. ie, no out going calls/txt within 180 days and the sim is de-activated. @Mike, have you had any issues with EE like this? SteveN

It won't have been fitted that long.
Are you sure it's outgoing calls/texts? I believe it's to remain active, which it does as I send it a text now again just to check/show off it's capabilities lol. A friend of mine with a BMW i3 was way impressed lol

Mike,
My understanding is it has to be a 'chargeable' item, hence outgoing SteveN

Here you go Mike, from the EE web site:
"6.3You must make a Connection Action at least once every 180 days. If You do not, Your SIM Card will be disconnected from the Network and You will not be able to use the Services. You will lose Your mobile phone number and any Credit on Your Account at the time of such disconnection will be forfeited." My take on the You must make a Connection Action is that the sim in question must make the connection and hence a chargeable transaction/connection SteveN

Hmmmm just had a read at that, looks like you are correct.
In which case I will use it until it stops then fit a pay as you go vodaphone sim. My wife has one in her phone (that she never uses) . She has had the same £10 on her sim for years. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I would have been stripping my GSM to figure out why it wasn't working

Sounds like you have the same unit as I have.
Where did you find to fit it? It's big, mine ended up at the back of the glovebox.
