Morning all,
Cloudy here but still pretty bright. Feels like it's warming up a bit too. No bacon sarnies here. More wood to cut today as the fire's been in over the last few evenings. It's only May after all . |

Morning all, Bright sunny day here but a tad chilly. Looks like the last low overnight temps tonight with a frost forecast here.
My greenhouse is choc-a-bloc with all the planters I've had to put back in there over the last few days. I'm not putting any plants in the conservatory because the ninja cats destroy them

Afternoon one and all - a grey, cold day here has just been enlightened by a neighbour over the road. He's paid a visit to the local butcher to top up his own meat stocks - and has brought me back a nice, large, pork pie - complete with jelly dribbling out of the corner - lunch sorted

Evening all, just finished shampooing the living room carpet, the joys of owning dogs and living in the muddy countryside.
Time for a pint (Only shandy tonight)

Evening Andy, and all those still awake. Well the weather turned from blue sky to very grey and a very cold wind. Managed to get some gardening done.
Finished off the last of the roast beef, washed down with a drop of cider.

Evening all, The temps are dropping here now & forecast for hard frost overnight so I've brought the last dwarf sunflowers inside the conservatory as there's no room left in the greenhouse.
The cats are staring at these plants through the patio doors but they're barred out of there until tomorrow Some frying steak fillets for tea with garlic mushrooms, new spuds,carrots/swede mash & Pak Choi I grew from seed, it's very nice stir fried with soy sauce & ginger paste Speaking of Ginger! I ordered some ginger seeds from China & planted them in early March but Ginger they ain't The seedlings that sprouted looked like runner beans!!!! Quote:
Evening Andy, I got the shampooer out of the garage last week to clean our carpet & have just about got the shampoo ratio sorted out, You don't need much of the concentrated shampoo in the tank, I was putting waaaaay too much of it in The colour of the water it sucked up was embarrassingly dirty Smells a whole lot better too. Second bottle of Henry's Cider for me with some pain killers, Mowing the lawn has killed me today for some reason!.

Yes, light coloured carpets and hounds are not a good combination, I too was putting a fair amount of shampoo in!

OK, so I was wildly out with my "feels like it's warming up".
Been sunny but the wind has been evil and the temperature here has plummeted in the last few hours. Good job we have some more wood for the fire |
