Some might feel I'm a softie because reading this has bought back a mixture of sad and happy memories. In my time I've said goodbye to four "Cavvies" Thomas, Samuel, James and Freddie. Each and everyone bought tears to my eyes with their passing, thankfully I have 'photo's and videos of them and watching these bring tears of joy for being blessed with them sharing my life.
So all I can say Phil is, I understand your sense of loss but you, your family and friends will be eternally be grateful for a lifetime of happy memories that you have been blessed with. |

I know just how you feel with losing Lady.
We only had the one dog, Kim a German Shepherd, that was almost 40 years ago but his photo still hangs in the house to this day, in fact our house name is Kimberly which was after our faithful friend. He was only five years old when he started taking epileptic fits and we had to put him to sleep. I remember the weekend it happened and like you I was in tears. I still have pets, about a dozen but there all fish in my two ponds but even when I lose one of them I still feel sad and have a special corner in the garden when they pass on. I'm sure you will have plenty of photos of Lady to rember her with, 40 years ago we only had a handful and the one hanging on the wall was professionally photo shopped as a gift for the missus to cheer her up. |

Such a beautiful photo of Angie and Lady having fun, a happy memory. We lost Diesel Dog - a black Labrador during a leopard attack last August and know something of what you are going through. It is very sad that Lady had to go, so lovely and friendly. We are sorry for your loss. Sincerest wishes Jessica and I |

I had a cavalier king charles spaniel when I was growing up which I knew for 12 years and that was due to heart problems, the second one died at 5 years old which was a complete shock, spinal problem, my mums dog now is a boy cavalier which is 6 years old and is healthy but has problems with diet. sorry to hear of the loss, cavaliers are very special dogs for me
