"KNOWING"...

If I had known that on that day our time was near the end
I would have done things differently, my forever friend.
I would have stayed right next to you deep into the night
but I thought I’d see you in the early morning light.

And so I said “Good night” to you as I walked in through the door
never thinking of the time when I’d see you no more.
But if I had known that on that day our time was at the end
I would have done things so differently, my forever friend.

Rest In Peace "Lady".
Feck ya Bill!! I'm crying again now...

Dunno about Dogs .. I can mostly get over losing our cats, but never had another Dog since our Old 22 yr old Mutt Bruno passed on , that was over 20years ago now .

So sorry to hear about your loss. It's as hard losing a loved pet as it is a family member, after all, they are part of the family.
I know exactly how you feel.
Best wishes.

RIP Lady

So sorry to hear of your loss Phil,

Our pets really do become part of the family unit and the sense of loss is just the same.

Take comfort in the fact that you shared five great years of unconditional love and she had the best life that you could have given her.

Sort yo year this. I lost my Meg two years ago. Has her since she was a pup. Ten years we had her. Still miss her to this day. A terrific a dog. So clever and loyal. She would do anything for you. I remember her mostly when I'm tidying the house every weekend around the area that she slept in picking up all her dog hair. Not there isn't any to pick up

Aw man, I feel your pain. Lost Wilbert 2 yrs ago (cat), it felt like we'd lost a son. Time's a healer buddy.

Sorry to hear this Phil.

Any pet is part of the family and when the time comes for them to pass it's heartbreaking. We had to put our lulu (rabbit) to sleep a few weeks ago as she had lost the use of her rear legs due to a tumour she was 8.
Still miss her like mad & so does her 2 wee bunny buddies mince & tatties.
