Last night the daughter came round to discuss her wedding arrangements for next year. She says they would like to have a hog roast for the evening meal, and she says to me - What's the difference between a hog roast and a spit roast? Sniggering, i said - google it. She didn't get the answer there either for a minute or two.

Some time ago I was chatting up a woman and her friend in a pub garden under one of those patio heaters. Her friend made a remark about how hot it was under it and said "Ooh its like a spit roast" and they both giggled. As I'm sweet and innocent I asked why a type of food was so amusing. They fell for this and said they weren't talking about food. Anyway I then asked for and got the full explanation- before finally telling them I knew all along! My wingman thought I was cruel, but aw these women were older than me it was even more amusing!
