Default Odd phenomenon

This has me puzzled.

I have an OEM boot liner in VeeKay and this lunchtime I opened the boot to find water droplets evenly distributed across the entire liner.

There are no leaks as far as I can tell so I'm wondering where the water came from?

The even distribution of the water is what I'm finding difficult to understand.

Any ideas please?

Due to the cold it could well just be condensation that has dropped onto the Liner,
from the boot lid.

Yes John

Seems like a reasonable surmise.

I guess it stops the boot carpet from getting soggy

I think I need to dig out some bags of silica gel

More likely condescension forming on the mat. I presume it's rubber-like.

Is that where something else in the boot goes "you're just a dirty rubber mat, you don't DESERVE to be in here"?

(I know its the technical forum but I'm going to post it anyway....)

Don't you just hate water ingress! I opened the tailgate of the tourer on sunday and the left hand side recess had about an inch of water in it everywhere else above and around was bone dry
