Default V8 for sale at Matthewsons on 4th Feb

See this link

A little research shows:
The V5 was last changed in May 2017
MoT 5th May 2023
£360 road tax
122,713 miles - 7,100 annual average
500 miles only since last MoT which included advisories:-

Nearside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
Offside Rear Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
Nearside Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))
Offside Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c))

Video shows sagging headlining and front door cards, driver's seat electrics u/s, driver's seat bolster split & worn, gear knob worn. Estimated £6,000 - £7,500. It looks like a well-used example not especially cared for so I'll be interested to see what it goes for. Lot 627 on Sat 4th Feb which starts at lot 251 so it'll no doubt be p.m.

V800JSM - someone's on here?

Dougie.

Buy it for 7, fix it for 1 and a half, and re-sell it for 10.

It seems the V8s are in a market all of their own. They're obviously rare but don't seem to be generally regarded enough as holy grails so as to be seriously sought after. I've seen some chokingly high prices being put up but haven't been able to find the admiring gasps to go with them.

V8 prices can vary quite a lot, dependent on spec (especially if a Monogram car), originality (but more for a supercharged car) and mileage.

To my mind that's quite a keen estimate for a +100K car in the colour and condition noted above as it has nothing going for it in any of the three areas.

Depends what you mean by gasps, V8s are changing hands (54 in 2022 that the TwoSixties tracked), with the highest 'chokingly high price' being £25K (but that was a concours supercharged ZT-T).

Cars under 100K miles regularly go for £10K - £15K, the one above was an exception but there are bargains to be had, especially at auctions.

In your dreams, lucky if it makes £5K and it’ll never be worth much more

So it made £6,900. Interesting.
