Default front brake pipe lengths

Hi all,

I have both front brake flexi-hoses to change on my v6, and it looks like I wont get the solid brake pipes undone without damaging them, so so I can do all together and keep the car complete and mobile until I get some made up does anyone know the rough length of the 2 metal brake pipes that go from the ABS unit to the 2 front flexi's??

Kindest regards,

Kev

Kev.,

If you're doing this yourself, the way it is usually done is to buy a coil of kunifer pipe and cut and bend it on site. There will be plenty of pipe for your purpose in that coil.

My guide to the complexities of brake pipe renewal might be useful in principle (even though it deals specifically with the pipe run to the rear wheels).

Simon

It's a handy skill to have - and once you've bought the tools needed, you can make them for life.
There's a few good videos on YouTube with tutorials on flaring the ends etc.
