Just going to order a pair of LED brake light bulbs off ebay. Can anyone confirm the bulb type as '382'

382s have opposite pins and a single contact on the base. If that's the same as what's coming out then that's the right one for you. If you have staggered pins then you need 380s. I can't remember what mine looked like when I did this swap and the car's 12 miles away otherwise I'd nip out and check for you
