Default T-series conversion?

I'm planning ahead for when my next HGF appears

I've read that the T-series swap into MG ZRs has been done with success.

So would it be possible to fit on into the ZT?

I take it it's a heavier engine, but has less "problems" and the potential for more BHP.

What would the weight difference between the T-series and KV6 be?

Would the gearbox in my 1.8T ZT fit the T-series or would I need to swap this aswell?

Will the engine mounts line up?

What's involved concerning wiring?

It won't bolt upto the gearbox, Getrag boxes in the 75's compared to PG1's in the ZR's/ZS's etc. You'd have to make a hybrid bellhousing to get it on the 75 box, then you'll have to mount the o/s driveshaft. Not worth the hassle.

For the cost involved in the swap it'd be cheaper building a blueprinted K-series. Any K-series that has been repaired properly with quality parts and gets maintained correctly should have no reason to fail again, none of the many I've done have yet to come back dead, even the ones built for track use.

Well my car has had the MLS fitted, brand new head as the old one was out of measurement. Liners all 2-thou above block face. New improved oil rail fitted together with uprated head bolts.

I hope it'll hold together for more than the 20.000km it has been driven since the repair 1 year ago (luckily the previous owner had to foot the UK£3000 bill), but it has started to "steam on start up" and when I started it today after having had it standing for a week there was a bubbling noises from the cooling system and the engine ticked over poorly.

I checked the coolant and oil yesterday and it was fine - will check again this afternoon.

So my mind started thinking of engine swaps
