Shonky Old Rover...... £150.
Hi chaps,
Time to get rid of this old girl. She's been sitting doing nothing for the past 9 months. Laid her up because the alternator belt snapped. Late last year I went to start her up and she clearly wasn't happy. On further investigation it seems like the inlet manifold gasket has leaked into the far right hand cylinder (as you look at the car) and potentially taken the headgasket with it when I tried to start it. It starts and runs but only on three cylinders - it does fire straight up. The car moves freely, no issues with seized on brakes. The idea was to do her up, starting with the interior. It has been completely stripped out, and a new (s/h) head lining fitted, new (s/h) carpet fitted (both from Pinebob's car), all bits of the interior cleaned up before refitting. It has light oak wood fitted (by me) and matching sandstone/light oak steering wheel. Also has real leather armrest. The interior has the following parts missing: One rear door card, back of the rear seat bench, C pillar trims, top of the B pillars. Everything else (I'm 99.9999% sure!) is there. The front seats and rear bench are a bit grotty tbh and could do with replacing or giving a very thorough clean. On the outside it is missing one of the dark running strips on the roof, and half of the windscreen surround. Also the scuttle panel went on to my other 75. Wiper arms are in the boot. Bad things to consider: No MOT or Tax Engine is potential scrap (as far as I know it has not had a HG change in the past - I may be wrong - I don't know) Bits of the interior missing Despite having heated seat buttons - it doesn't have them! Runs but there is no charging circuit at the alternator belt has snapped Various rear light bulbs missing (pinched for other 75 as its needed them) Good things to consider: It moves It has an uprated handbrake compensator fitted The shell is very good - no rust or corrosion When I parked it up the suspension was great - no problems there at all Half wood steering wheel (albeit in the wrong colour!) In the pictures below you'll notice the rear bumper is not present. It's in the shed and I'll have it refitted before the car goes. Paintwork on it is shonky on the corners though. I'm looking for £150 for the car as is - OR £200 with a set of 4 "crown" wheels all with good tyres chucked in as well. Located near Hull - you'll need to arrange how it's taken away. As always do feel free to make any offers. |

It's got a crack in it just below where the grill sits. Neither bumper is in fantastic condition - the rear one better than the front.
