I don't think they'd write the whole plane off for that?

It depends how hard the tug hit it, it will need all of the shock loading checks carrying out, airframe mounts for both engine to wing and wing to hull etc. If all that is serviceable then change the fan housing and do an intensive FOD check on the engine but to be honest I think the safest option would be to replace that engine assuming everything else is serviceable.
I love tin bashing me.

Inlet is probably a write off fan cowl should repair although possibly as cheap to replace.

Yeah this new found technology is puzzling.
Was so much easier when they were made of canvas

Bit cheeky of me but, if you do get to work on it can you look out for some Maiden memorabilia for me please.............like the big Eddie sticker on the side of the engine

I've been a fan since 1980 and got quite a collection of Maiden 'stuff'.

It would just be the Inlet, fan cowl & Tr that would come in if we do get the job although I suspect they'll be written off a replacements sourced.

As fro getting parts from unit that's a big NO NO any scrap parts have to be destroyed as per rules & regs I'm afraid.
