After a year I took my test and bought my second bike... Kawasaki ZZR600 another brilliant machine that you'll find yourself doing this on in no time:

Have fun and take it steady

Thanks what a great picture. Id rather keep both wheels on the gound as I am a bit of a wimp to be honest

Thankyou Jeff, I hope so but anything to help it along will be a great help. My confidence going right has been shaken but once I am out doing things at my own pace I will get back into the swing of things.
Thanks again Jeff

In the early eighties I used to ride bikes up to 250cc on a provisional license. My favourite being the Kawasaki KH250 2-stroke triple.

When I went back to biking in 2000, I took the direct access route to a license in order to ride 500cc+ bikes. With hindsight, that was the best decision to have made - I learned so much about handling a large, powerful, bike from my instructor in radio contact.

Large bikes are so different to handle due to the power and weight, I would recommend this route to anyone moving up from a smaller bike. It is not wise to start riding a large bike without proper training.

My brother just sold his varadero and bought a 3 seater trike so he could take his son with him when they go out

Thankyou, I think the problem with me was the other people were so far ahead of me in skill that I felt I was just getting dragged along if that makes sense?

I will be getting training for a few saturdays aswell but once from training I can slow it down a bit and still practice. Thanks Thomas

Ok so my dad bought me a universal top box for the bike so when we go somewhere I can stick my helmet in there or maybe a bit of shopping.

Also the rear L plate was cut right down so not right and also the front never had a L plate on.

So here are some daylight pictures with the items sorted.

Thanks Thomas

They were much safer than the previous generation of Japanese bikes!

The 2-stroke triple sound was sheer music.
