I passed my test in 1998. Fuel back then was around 60.9p per litre.

Can't remember the exact price in 1968 - but I know you could get 2 or 3 gallons of petrol, a few squirts of Redex (at 1d a time) - and still have change out of a ten bob note to get a some Woodbines
