I was and still am behind the selection of Roy as England coach, but why he keeps on choosing Liverpool players is beyond me. They struggled to a top half position and there are plenty of better players around.

Grant Holt was a better choice than Carroll

It's a good job that expectations seem to be lower this time around as tbh I cannot see England getting to the knockout stages so to reply to the op that's why Joey Barton wasn't selected

I hear that loads of people are moaning because Rio Ferdi hasn't been called upon, due to Cahill's injury. Why would an ex liverpool manager pick an older experienced man u player over a youthful no hoper playing for liverpool. Come on, think about it.

it,s funny how in the terry ferdinand situation it was the innocent party that has lost out re selection for the squad , and now the manager cant be seen to backtrack , odd eh ????
