If you live in NORTH WALES and have to phone the police which is a rare occurrence in these parts BTW, we have to listen to a bilingual automated message., first in Welsh then in English, then you get put through to central control in Wrexham (40 miles away from here) 3 mins later.

By then I usually say " You missed them!! The culprits are long gone now.

It's diabolical trying to contact the Police, we found a key bunch last year but our local Station is all locked up. There's a phone on the wall..........the person on the other end isn't someone inside the building, it's the bloke in Wrexham again!!!!!!!!!

Trying to explain where we found the keys, the Policeman on the phone of course didn't have any local knowledge of our area!!!! Fed up the SPANISH INQUISITION you get from them, I offered to push the lost keys down the phone line to him. With this, he had a total sense of humour failure, so
I gave up in the end and put them through the Station Letterbox!!

Can only live in hope that we never get burgled.

The Burglars could never find your Place Jules, and your Cat looks a Bit Vicious!

With North Wales Police Just Mention the Word "Gun" and Squad Cars will appear from Nowhere.
That Helicopter at present is taking off over 20 times a day up the Lane from us!
That money for that thing could put 20 Officers on the Beat.

Just as a matter of interest, it took the Police less than 5 minutes to get to me at 02:00 this morning.

However, it was they who wanted to see me.
