Default Cumbrian Rover Rally 29th June 2008

Hi all,

I organise a get together for owners of Rover cars on behalf of the Rover Sports Register and Rover P4 Drivers' Guild each year here in Cumbria. I would like to invite any members of the 75 & ZT Owners Club to come along and join us again this year, whether with a 75 or a ZT. Sorry for the fairly short notice - I have only recently finalised details of the venue we will be visiting

This year we will be visiting Hutton In The Forest, which is a short distance off Junction 41 of the M6 a little north of Penrith, on Sunday 29th June. Details of the venue can be found here. We will be making our way from the southern end of the county during the morning, aiming to arrive at Hutton In The forest at about lunchtime. Usual entrance fees will be payable at the venue (unless our numbers swell sufficiently to hit their 'discount rate') but they will be allowing us to park in the courtyard in front of the house rather than the main visitors car park.

The event is usually quite small and draws a variety of Rovers usually dating from the 1940's up to the end of production. If you fancy a run out for the day why not come and join us. Last year our numbers were swelled by three members of the 75 & ZT Owners Club. With a bit of luck you should be able to see some pictures from last year here. I'd like to think that we might see a few more of you this year.

Please post here or PM me if you are interested and would like any more details.

Paul

Please be aware this event is organised as an official Rover Sports Register (RSR) event and is therefore covered by the RSR's public liability insurance. It is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such the 75 & ZT owners club take no responsibility for the meet in any way.

Well, I've booked the weather, the scenary around Hutton In The Forest is great and, all being well, we'll have examples of all three types of Rover 75 out on the day.

Anyone else interested in coming along?

Paul

Thanks Dave,
Sorry you can't make it this year, maybe we'll see you again next year - or when I finally manage to make it to a 75 & ZT Owners club meet. I was dissappointed I couldn't make it to Holker Hall last year as it is so close to me, but my wife had booked a weekend away before we knew the date.
