Another name for that in the trade is a ---socket headed cap screw--- or Allen screw / bolt.--

I am assured that this bolt is only thetre to assist alignment during reassembly.

Just to prevent any misunderstandings it's not an Allen head as that would be female hexagonal. It's a Torx (as stated in Rimmer's listing).

Very true. It was the choice Rover engineers made.---However both screws would do the same job.--ie interchangeable.----
