SORTED!, was jelly like slime on the rubber filter the pump mounts into on the bottle. Good wash with hot water and rinse of bottle with the same.
Now skooshes like a supersoaker!. Thanks for all the help, and special thanks to the "how to" section. |

just to add that I did mine too, although I found it quite fiddly and only managed to get the filter out with the aid of a sock (on my hand, to grip it)!
The filter was fine, but then the slime oozed out for a moment or two before the rest of the contents of the washer bottle burst free. Anway, it's much better now, I can even wash the windscreen of the car behind me. I have found a couple of people online who claim that mixing screen-washes (rover / bmw and halfords were mentioned) can cause it to form a gel, which might explain it - it didn't really look like bacterial slime to me. |
