No, it was 6.something - about two and bit years old!

Yeah, Windows phone and Windows mobile are nothing alike whatsoever.

Androids user experience can be anything you want it to be, including almost identical to Windows phone.

Not sure I'd agree, tried my brothers Nokia Lumina and was very unimpressed compared to my Galaxy with ICS. He was too, hence it was back with Vodafone before the end of the cooling off period!

Have you dowloaded Kies onto your PC? When your phone connects it will load up properly.

CoPilot...

Went for it and it's been a pain so far, as it wouldn't load properly, and I ended up buying it twice (don't ask!) and they took about three days to refund for the second one. The first one still wouldn't work even after three fresh installs, done via the PC and Wi-Fi (which should work) but in the end it worked after doing the install direct to the phone - which hoovered up a depressing 228mb of my 500mb monthly allowance!

It's now working, although I must remember to enable GPS before running it as otherwise it's just a black screen so I then need to re-boot...

Oh, and can't work out how to get a 3D view - do you actually have to be on the move for it to switch to this??

I have Navfree on my phone and I am well impressed. Completely free from Google Play. However, be aware that there is a 300+MB download for the maps, so best to do that over wi-fi.
