How would you hold the block is what's important in an instruction... not the orientation of the image.... I hope one day to have nothing better to do than be so pedantic when someone is making effort to help other members instead of trying to show them how right, and in consequence how petty you can be....

A shame really....

Klarzy - The OP asking the questions seemed very unsure and nervous of doing what was necessary to make his adaptor work, hence his questions. In such circumstances any replies need to be very clear, very precise - even pedantic if you like.

My apologies if my attempting to make it absolutely clear to the OP so upset you..

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

If anyone is really stuck about what cables to solder, feel free to send me the cable and I'll solder the two pins, test the cable and send it back to you.

I hope my distorted versions of your image Klarzy, has not irritated you (further?). As when I read your initial post 168, I have to admit, I was looking at the upper right of the block as positioned in the image. However, as I have already modified this plug from a previous instruction, it fell into place what you meant.

Then, Harry stated, in post 169 'lower right', that had me looking in the bottom right of the image (not the plug!).

To me terminal 7 is closer to centre right in the image

So I have to say, I misunderstood both of you at first.

The important instruction is terminal 7 and 8. On my plug, there were no numbers, but it was Dorset Bob's post mentioned in post 68 that sorted it for me, yet I even got that wrong too! my own stupidity.

Just in case the Photobucket link plays up this is a similar image

I will also add, that without instruction, support and patience from both of you, I would not have got far with a lot of tasks I have had to do on my car! And I will always be grateful for you two being on this forum.

the file was in post #1 but it seems to have disappeared. It may be due to Phil t4 no longer having a paid account on here. May be worth sending Phil a PM to inform him and he may be able to email you the file.

Erm....

I'm in the same boat as I'd like the IPK programme but can't see it to download.

Can't find any way to PM him - he doesn't appear on the "Members List" or the "Recipients" in the PM lists.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Andy.
