Well that was a bit of bad advice I was given. Thankfully it wasn't on here. I'll follow your advice on this one me thinks and flush the coolant system. What problems can it cause btw?

All of these radiator sealers are deliberately designed to block up smaller passages, via which coolant might be escaping. Apart from leaks, engines and cooling systems have lots of essential small passages, which can also become blocked by the sealant.

Its this later effect which is of concern and can cause localised over heating.
