Doesn't the ipk also tell you the week and month your car was built if you enter diagnostic mode or is that just the date the ipk was built?

My Tourer was built on 22 April 2002 but wasn't registered until 29 October 2002. So it sat about somewhere for six months. Hope it was warm and dry!

Hi,
Just as a matter of interest my S-Type was completed and dispatched from the Jaguar factory on the 15th December 2004. It was then registered by H.R,Owen Ipswich, on the 25th January 2005, so it did not sit about very long from its build date. I remember when I bought my Arden Green 75 Club SE they had an unregistered red 75 Club SE which must have been sitting around for sometime, as it still had the Rover flat boot badge on it about 2 years after this had changed to the rear Number Plate Plinth incorporating the badge in it. The reason I did not take the car was that the Chrome door handle were very badly pitted etc., thought they said they would be changed, but it kind of put me off a little at the time. Maybe should have taken it, as it may not have been the subject of much of the Project drive scheme. Regards, Telfer, |
