I was reading my old posts and forgot about the biting.

He has grown into a very loving and gentle dog.
He took our rescued greyhound under his wing and has really rubbed off on him too.

Thanks for sharing your pics. Beautiful dogs you have.
Thanks Phil - have looked out some better pic’s 😀

He really has grown into an incredibly loving, clever, gentle dog.
Our rescued/retired Greyhound, Bertie worships him!

Bertie the Greyhound was the most anxiety filled animal I've ever met. Really hard work but Oscar gave him confidence and helped him adapt and realise he didn't need to be scared any more.
Here's Bertie, been with us for nearly six years.

Really good to catch up on this thread and see your (and everyone else's) dogs again Phil - and also to read back over my posts and see how things have changed with us

Pleased to report that our young 'uns, although now old 'uns, are still going strong (fingers crossed!). Charlie is 11 now and Maddy is 10, and despite Charlie being a little bit arthritic, which doesn't slow her down much, they are still very active

When this thread began, I was still happily working as a manager in the NHS, which then became unhappily, and Gill was happy then unhappy working at the local council. About 5 years ago I was made redundant, and whilst walking our dogs, met a lady who boards dogs and does daycare. The idea seemed great to us, and I dipped my toes into the water. Soon we became quite busy, and then Gill packed in her job, and since then, we have become very busy! We now have a client list with 159 dogs on, of which 85 are regulars!

Looking at your latest post made me chuckle as last week we had a Springer that looked exactly like your Oscar, who is called Bertie! And currently we are boarding a greyhound that looks exactly like your Bertie, called Linford! What's the chances? (BTW, we have two Berties and two Oscars on the books!)
