When I read the story and saw the evidence against him I thought the same as you TC. He must have a personality flaw in his character twisted enough to behave like that. Well, he has a criminal record for the rest of his life.

What a numptie I hope his insurance premiums reflect his disdain for road safety when he gets his licence back.

I wish the authorities would deal with burglars and drug dealers with the same determination as they did with this guy.

If you get one over on them they seem to punish you more than other criminals.

Motorists in general are easy pickings for the authorities. We are licensed and so are our cars.

Scumbags who rob people and sell drugs are not - so far more difficult to catch.

With high fines available and pretty much assured convictions for motorists - it’s hardly surprising the authorities target one rather than the other.

A friend of mine had his car stolen from outside his house, the police caught the youth after a car chase and when Mike got his car back it was scrapped by the insurance company due to the amount of damage. The youth got an 18 month suspended sentence and some community service and Mike's insurance premiums have gone up by 45%.

Absolutely, if people abuse the system then detection of crime becomes very difficult. The system is more worried about this than crimes per se.

Although in this particular case I bet he's the arrogant do whatever I like type. If it were me I'd have done him for polluting waterways as well.
