Okay then, are the drain holes in the bottom of the door clear? is there any staining on the door card? is there any water within the dashboard panels?

Not sure in dashboard panels, at least not on the backside of them. Doors are bone dry, clean and open.
Which part of the dash panels do you mean?

Are all the plastic plugs present in the roof rail strips?

Another good one. They are all present and i just checked them visually, and they look in pretty good condition.

The panels above the pedals that can be removed may hold some water if it's dropping from the screen, or once off, you could see if it's on the bulkhead panel?

Right, I would have to check that. I didn't see anything from the outside obviously, but I'll remove a few panels and see if I can find anything.

Well, I finally had time to do some work.
I took the seat out, removed a few panels and lifted the carpet up as much as I could without taking the center console out.

The foam under the carpet was clearly very wet and there was some water in the bottom. The water clear, didn't smell and clean. So I'm guessing it hasn't been there very long.

The foam under the drivers footwell:
Clearly shows it discoloration from getting wet.

The foam under the rear seat footwell behind the driver:
Much lighter in color, and was in fact bone dry.

From looking at the pattern of wetness in the foam I can only try to guess where it came from. And I have the feeling it comes from the left corner. Somewhere behing the top bolt for the black triangle you can rest your foot on while driving.

I did my best to dry it as much as I could and tucked some towels underneath, hoping it will soak in some more of the wetness.

I poured some water over the windscreen, over the door (door closed ), and poured water over the roof. I then waited a few minutes to see some drops appearing, but nothing appeared. In fact... it remained bone dry. Not a single drop....

Tomorrow I have the opportunity to use a hose and really get the car properly wet. I'm gonna put done some paper towels because they show where the water comes from.

I didn't have time to remove the dashboard a bit and look inside the dash. So I would still need to figure out where it enters the car. But I hope to figure out a bit more when I see from what side it comes.

Well done for having got so far. Be careful when it comes to spraying water direct, there are some areas it really should not be forced into.

Hopefully, due to the work you have carried out, it should start drying, though that takes quite a while.

Thanks Planenut. I'm gonna try to open the doors or windows as much as I can during warm days. And hopefully it'll dry out on its own. But I still need to make sure it won't get wet again. I hope to achieve a bit more tomorrow.

I shouldn't laugh about it, but yeah... the boot, the drivers footwell, the roof drains... geesh...
