I don’t know about Amazon and what capability their drones would have. In South Africa, we could use them to check for wild fires or intruders/baddies for surveillance at the family farm. Here is a photo showing part of it. The photo was taken using a drone with a video camera attached, controlled via a mobile phone and app.

Just can’t wait to see them deliver a washing machine or fridge.

Tried on, disliked and returned within the hour!

Thank you Fred. Our next door neighbour employed someone to shoot a film using a drone for a promotional film of his house. He sent me a copy of the photos and the film. It looked professional and it was quite well done. The laws for drone use in South Africa are more relaxed than in Kenya.

What you've got there is an old analog drone. They don't work any more, not since the switchover to digital.

Now this use for drones I can understand. Surveillance or aerial photography. Stunning photo.
It's the whole 'delivering a box' use that I find hard to find any enthusiasm for

So if you order a drone from Amazon, will it deliver itself

No Ronnie - a bigger drone will bring your lightly boxed drone package marked "FRAGILE - HANLDE WITH CARE", chuck it over the fence and forge your signature.
