Tourer rear wash wipe not working

Hi all,I wonder if any one can help me I have a low mileage 2001 CDT tourer I cannot get the rear wash wipe to work via column control,but weirdly it wipes in auto wipe once reverse is selected,the controls work ok for front ie full wipes and jets I've checked the wiring to rear no breaks,no Fuses have blown I'm stumped help please!!!

Not sure if this is relevant but it earths through the lock so only works when closed and a good earth made through it. I changed a tailgate to fix accident damage and found this out. Mines needs slammed or it doesn't earth.

If it’s wiping when in reverse I would say it’s earth’d Ok, does the rear washer work when selected from the stalk ?

Nope no jets at all nothing but front all good very strange

Have also tried firmly shutting both glass and tailgate also adjusted lock but still nothing

I would suspect the switch as the pump is working on auto reverse. Check all the connections

At least the tourer has a rear wash wipe. On the saloon I have to wash my own rear!

Did the saloon ever have a rear wiper option?

I’ve got exactly the same problem on one of my Tourers, so please update with the solution if you get it fixed. I will do likewise, although this one is some way down an ever-lengthening list of things to sort out!

Jobs to do: ,replace drivers lock,.[/SIZE]
