At the very least, you ought to take the 'old girl' out to dinner

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Hmm.. Caring to much about keeping a "clean sheet" when it comes to MOTs on ageing cars is doomed to end in disappointment eventually.

We had a chap on the Pistonheads forum not so long ago who was livid when his treasured Z3 came back with an advisory, having previously kept a clean sheet.

(Everyone told him to man up and get over it, if I recall correctly.)

No doubt I would be very peed off to say the least but for me part of the challenge in this game is to maintain the car to a standard where I pre-empt and fix problems before I get an advisory. So far so good but there will come a day, I'm sure

I have a sneaking feeling that day is a long way off Nobby.
