Rear Lights

I was following my wife who was driving our Rover and I noticed that all the lights on the rear nearside are very very slightly dimmer than the right side. All the lights, running light, brake light, reversing light.

What would cause this?

The bulb holder not being clipped in properly and has fallen back?

The first place I would look would be the earthing point.

Thanks! i was thinking about adding an earth to see what happens.

I never even considered the bulb holder not fitted correctly. I will be going out for a look shortly.
