Today I submitted the following 2 photos to a photography forum for a full critique Both taken yesterday in the bright sunlight and high temperatures, the Ibis after midday and the Butterfly at about 1pm.

Hi Phil!
Great shot of the Ibis !"On knees!!!"

I`m wondering if this butterfly listens to Radio... Ga Ga?

If you want the fullest critique - post the images to an Bulgarian photo forum...

No thank you Hristo I am on 2 Photography forums and 2 is enough. Of the 2, One completely destroyed my self confidence in posting up and as a result of that experience, I rarely submit anything for a full criticism to that club. My photos were rubbished so much, that I felt insignificant and pushed down. I am not into public humiliation and masochism

I know what you mean Phil. I recently joined a forum, one week later I left. To many argumentative people and it was not a place where I felt comfortable. I had very little flak myself but the tone of the place was not somewhere I wanted to be. I am much happier toodling about in my own way

Maybe someday I’ll treat myself to a decent camera but meantime I’m relying on the phone camera or with this one taken with the iPad.

We’re spending a few days at Garlieston South West Scotland with the caravan.
It’s lovely weather and it’s nice to watch the tide coming in and out.

Garlieston was home of the “Mulberry Harbours” as used in WW2

Yesterday (without camera ) I had a little bird sat on this fence just two feet from me. I couldn’t believe how close I was to it and it just didn’t seem to be bothered.

Good morning Jim, thank you for sharing with us the history of Garlieston and for showing us the views and a shot the caravan, it looks peaceful and inviting. I think that with today’s technology in phones and how iPads are designed, if your happy with the lens etc, there might no need for you to buy a camera. Some of my photos are taken with a mobile phone which is 13MP, has a built in flash, image stability, 64GB and lots of other toys. Even the professionals use their phones for taking photos and making videos for photo shoots.

Have a beautiful day and a restful break.
