Default Turbo boost adjustment

I've just added a thread to my forum shop page with some details of where to buy a low cost boost control valve and obd tool for reading the pressure via the diag socket.

Its in the response to the many requests for my boost spring mod which is not available due me losing the part no of the spring.

I should point out that I have no connection with either ebay seller and just quote them as examples of what you need.

Ron

You'll have to search for the ebay sellers shop as ebay don't now seem to put the item no. on the listing, or if they do I couldn't see it

Thanks,

So do I go for this one, or..

would it be usefull to get one with a gauge built in or do these things not have a "memory". ie, can you read out the highest pressure achieved after a run?

Thanks, very helpfull info.

If you want to log readings then I'd recommend a laptop and a separate interface such as the ELM327 type.

I used a free download of obdlogger to record and produce the charts on my website here:

http://tuning-diesels.com/75Zt/R75tu3.htm - scroll down to "boost increase".

http://pages.infinit.net/jsenk/downloads.htm

There are many laptop obd adaptors including bluetooth and wifi types available but check that the supplied software will do what you want as third party software usually only works with certain interfaces.

ps, have someone else operate the equipment - don't try and do it whilst driving!
