new Rover 75 2.0 cdti connoisseur tourer advice please
Hi , having, always wanted a Rover 75 I have finally taken the plunge and purchased A 75 tourer cdti, its had done 61k with fsh, I am a taxi driver and I hope to put another 80k on it.
Please can any one tell me the best place for parts please. And to clarify if I should expect clutch or dmf trouble soon ??The clutch is quite heavy. I have never had one of these and from reading first thing I will do when I get it is get the drainage holes checked! any helps or tips would be appreciated thank you |

First welcome, second you should have gone for the auto as a taxi, you are gonna have a sore leg every day
Service - well EGR valves, PCV filters, oil changes (do a search for each of these) and buy a clutch slave cylinder from here and keep it handy along with the number of a good mechanic, it will fail eventually: http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/clutch-s...70-p-1055.html you may also want the how-to:- http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=45125 other than that you've bought a gem

Most parts can be bought through the likes of Euro Car Parts and such like. Steer clear of eBay bits as most of them seem to be chinky bits in knock-off branded boxes.
PCV filters are fitted to BMW's and Freelanders and can be bought from the main dealers. It'd be wise to have a full service done as soon as possible with a PCV change and a clean out of the EGR, and also get the clutch fluid replaced. Have a search on here for a how to and make sure you get it done the same way! Throw some injector cleaner in your tank to give the injectors a helping hand.

Do a clutch fluid replacement and bleed the system. It helped a lot on mine and the pedal was much lighter to depress after that.
A new clutch is feather light on these cars, but it gets heavier and heavier with age. I guess regular fluid changes from new would avoid many clutch issues.... |
