Default Roveron on twitter

You can now keep upto date on developments on Twitter:-

I'll be adding any Synergy related info, feedback, and any tech info relating to engine probs that I come across.

The Synergy 2a firmware update mentioned therein has come about thanks to Starman and works well if you have an egr bypass fitted. I believe this is because the bypass affects the airflow, which in turn affects the maf signal.

Cheers,
Ron

My car came with a Synergy fitted by the previous owner (another club member) but I'm always on the hunt for some more power...

Looking at the Twitter comment it looks like the 2a gives no extra power, just a different MAF compensation to take into account the EGR bypass.

Am I reading that right?

Like the others above I have no proof of purchase for my Synergy 2 either, is that important or not? I guess so long as it is a synergy then it must have come from you at some point.

Hi there. Ron has upped the map for want of a better term as the Pierburgh MAF runs a little lean at higher revs. This was more noticeable after an EGR bypass. For me anyhow
When on the T4 a Pierburgh MAF shows a slightly lower voltage than a Bosch. Rons new map allows the car to pull right through the rev range quickly and fully.
Before it would feel like the car was backing off the gas before I was or wanted to.
This map certainly boosts the Pierburgh MAF.
Worked brilliantly on my recent holiday.

Oh I'm following too

Regards. Steve.

Hi Ron

I gather the pre-launch 1998 2.O V6 is not compatible with T4. Corin tried it without success. Would one of your diagnostics fit the bill and if so which one? I checked your website but for what ever reason I am none the wiser.

Phil
