Egr bypass.
Will this bypass valve fit the M47 engine as i believe its the same as the land rover TD4 engine.

Thanks for the quick reply Graham it seems a little cheaper than the others on ebay at the moment but should do the same job.

Yeh i'd get one as cheap as possible....its after all just a pipe welded to a plate. I saw one on ebay a while ago that made all these wild claims about its flow dynamics, blah blah blah....what tosh because as soon as the air enters the inlet manifold it will end up going all over the place anyway.
Im going to try cutting/drilling the internals out of my egr soon becuase...A. im tight and B. im tight

Well its already bypassed and i know that whether any evidence these work is anecdotal at best but the piston must cause an obstruction and if its bypassed the piston isnt doing anything so i may aswell remove it....cant hurt and i have too many days off in the week and not enough to keep me occupied lol

I seem to recall that after passing through the EGR the air then goes through an even smaller hole (one and a 1/4 inch (?) before splitting into the various intake ports...
This would tend to make opening up the EGR hole rather pointless innit? ... |
