V6 ECU Re-mapping
Anyone done this on their KV6? A company local to me will RR before the re-map and after and If I am not happy with the result then it won't cost me anything. They assure me that I will achieve somwhere in the region of 205bhp and 235nm. All in it is £249 and the company is http://ecotechperformance.co.uk/

I've thought about this for my 190. There's a guy in the for sale section who has a shop and does remaps too.

I'd modify the air intake and get a full SS cat/back before any remap is done so it can be custom tuned to the modifications.

If you are talking about Hayes And the Khaos maps, he has been out of bussiness for a while... So try somewhere else...

Check everything, VIS motors, new spark plugs and full service before you do it, else you will be wasting money!

As stated. I visited their premises and found they had gone, the new occupants told me Ian (Khaos) had taken up a new full time job in computers...

Thanks for your replies guys. I will service it and then get on it when I get paid and keep you all posted. Apparently it can increase your mpg, dependent on how you drive, which is the main selling point for me. And it would be nice to have over 200hp

"Depending upon how you drive" is the key phrase. What's the point in increased power if you're going to drive gently because you want to improve fuel consumption? As others have said, regular high quality servicing and attention to things like the VIS actuators are the way to keep your engine running efficiently. It's not as glamorous as remapping though. The KV6 is relatively thirsty unless at a steady cruising speed, and you don't need more bhp for that! Simon.
