I have never had one of these and from reading first thing I will do when I get it is get the drainage holes checked!
any helps or tips would be appreciated thank you

£20 yeah right, dream on!

But club members do get £10 off or more if you need a maf as well.

Cheers,

Hi thanks so glad I joined this forum!! The last full service was at 57,000 its now on 61,000, will book it in to "my" trusted garage for clutch fluid change, he sells forte diesel treatment so will stick that in too.I will order a pcv filter too. My garage is pretty good but is there any thing special on how to replace the clutch fluid on the 75?
Bit worried about getting him to clean egr valve IF it is currently ok , but you guys seem to think I should as routine, so I guess there must be a sticky on here I can give my mechanic . just a thought is there a Rover specialist other than Rogers in the Plymouth Devon area ? thank u

theres a 75 cdti taxi around here talking to the driver it was on 222,000 a year ago i still see it regularly, clutchs are stiff its when it falls strait to the floors the issue, parts are easy to get you should have a reliable car with the diesel,do a search on plenum chambers and how to keep them clean if you dont want your ecu to drown the pcv filters can be bought as a kit quite cheap on here from a member called jules changing it prevents early turbo failure

I have a new clutch LUK, and new clutch slave cylinder, but it is still hard, it is probably normal

The pcv filter and egr clean are jobs you can do yourself on your day off,or whatever. The pcv is under the air filter at the back of the engine,4 torx screws to remove it(air filter housing that is).this will reveal the pcv filter.
here is the link http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=84265 The egr is on the end of the inlet manifold, passenger side it has a wide plastic pipe on it ,that goes to the intercooler under the radiator.
Disconnect it from the manifold, then rem to clean the ove all the pipework attatched to it,the valve itself could have a build up of carbon that needs cleaning off.
use a screwdriver to clean the crud off, then wire wool or sandpaper to finish off.

As you will see, you get 25% discount at Eurocarparts as a member on here.
They have Pagid brake pads & discs at good prices (O/E quality)
I have bought nearly all my genuine service parts off e-bay since buying my car new in 2003 without problems.
In tank & under bonnet fuel pumps can be a problem (don't run below quarter tank) and are expensive from X-Part but available elsewhere.
Member Jules is a valuable contact for several troublesome components & gives valuable advice. Buy his cheap Plenum guard to fit on Drivers side to stop leaves etc. The car has one already on t'other side.
If/when intercooler 'O' rings go (oil on L/H front of engine bay) make sure you replace with Viton sealing rings (less than £4 !)
Clean and grease/Waxoyl brake pipes (very common MOT fail) Jack up front right and reach them lying ALONGSIDE car, front to back.
Plenty of 'How To's' on the club site. VERY valuable, helps save rip-offs !
Agree you should have bought an auto (mid 2003 on) Sheer pleasure but do use a little more fuel.
Good Luck
'Our Les' also has many new parts and S/Hand. Tel:- 01277 890931
