If your are sure the dtc is maf related, then I'd would be surprised because the maf would have to be a long way out of spec to cause them. This would then be apparent as quite noticeable performance &/or fuel consumption issues.

The maf switch bypasses the maf compensation completely so therefore you can either use settings 1 to 5 or 6 to 10, 6 being the same as 1, 7 = 2 etc.

You can certainly try the maf switch on (use settings 1 to 5) and see how this affects the dtc, performance and mpg.

One thing is for sure, no two 75s or ZTs are identical once they've clocked up a few thousand miles due to the super unpredictable Bosch maf so you do need to experiment. (just make one change every few tank fulls to get a realistic idea of which works best)

It comes up regularly with the 1103 DTC, which I'm told is MAF output higher than expected.

Performance + consumption seem absolutely fine.

So.... would switching the MAF switch to on, fix the higher than expected MAF output?

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
