The BMW 318s (114-120bhp) use essentially the same engine as the 75/ZT/TD4 but the higher power ones have uprated internals, a larger intercooler, motorised intake swirl flaps and vnt turbo, probably different injectors as well. The swirl flaps have been known to snap off and be ingested and the vnt turbo is not as reliable as the simple Mitsubishi one on the 75. (Incidentally the Freelander TD4 does have a vnt turbo and its a pity there isn't room to fit this to the 75/ZT)

I would imagine the engine would fit, using 75 inlet and exhaust manifolds
but since you'd have a job fitting a bigger intercooler and vnt turbo it would probably be more trouble than its worth.

You'd still need a Synergy 2 anyway since the ecu firmware won't supply the extra fuel you'd need, nor control a vnt turbo.
