Charge Light
Has any one come across this problem, charge light now on continuously, but voltage across battery is 14.2v on idling, which suggests the alternator is working.

Mine does it quite often for a few seconds from cold, damned annoying, it is almost as if the belt is slipping under load unfortunately there is nothing to adjust.
Typically this happens on damp days when the HRW insists on turning itself on i.e the battery is under quite a load. The car gets used for lots of short journeys now which seems to really knock it out of the battery I ignore it but it really annoys swmbo, so it might be time for another Citroen Picasso as I am coming to the conclusion my CDT is just no good for short journeys, fuel consumption etc is really suffering whereas the Pic was doing 50 plus mpg regularly |
