Noisy windscreen wipers...
Switched my wipers on on the way home today and heard a weird noise.
The wiper motor sounds like it belongs in a series 1 landrover. Never heard a sound from it before. The temperature was 10 degrees, so not iced up or anything, everything seems to be free. I took the cover off and sprayed everything with WD40, including the worm gears under the plastic cover-still as noisy as hell. I have not noticed any other problems on here with the wiper motor, or is it? Craig.

I had to replace my wiper motor assembly on my Zircon 75 just a few months back because the motor was noisy.
After finding the replacement to be ok I reconnected the original motor without any arms & blades connected and it was still noisy but I’ve never had the time to investigate why. I still have the “noisy” motor lying in the workshop. |

New motor it is. Did you replace the linkage or just the motor?
