Car bonnet scratches after car wash
The missus took the 75 through a car wash about 3 years back, I noticed that it had about 5 x 1mm lumps taken out of the bonnet. They went down to the metal and are now rusting, not severe rust like flaking but the brown evil rust can be seen if looking closely.
Due to lack of time etc never got around to sorting them, so can anyone recommend the best way to make them more presentable. Note: It has took a long time for the rust to appear so the 75's must have been made with good metal. |

Drive the car to your local Body Shop, thrust £300 into the Proprietors hand and I'm sure he'll re-finish the bonnet back to factory standard!

I was looking for a cheaper alternative, just a way to stop the rust would be a start.

Don't use car washes, was waiting to through one ,as there was another car in it, when the brush fell off damaging the rear screen, never used one since.
Should come with a label; 'Hand wash only'

The last time I used a car wash there was a failure and I got stuck in it.
Luckily the brushes were whizzing around at the back and, through the water spray, I could make out the "emergency number" (the garage ). I called them on my mobile and they shut it down and and let me out. Never again!

Other than a short term fix like a touch up stick, Mr Doodles is right, it needs to go to a bodyshop to be sorted or one of these mobile bodyshops, like Dentmaster will sort it outside your house
