Thumbs up

I've just been part of a rally in the Montagne Noire (Black Mountain) in the South of the Tarn departement but... with the 214 cabby far much at ease in those twisty & winding country roads than the stately V6.
BTW We won two prizes: one for the most distant equipage (no merit TBH) and another because we got the highest score in the quiz we were given with the road book... Don't ask me how we achieved that...
There were many jokes about that naughty 'social distancing': none of us has had any knowledge of somebody caught by the disease here. Only 5 casualties in my departement (Tarn & Garonne) and nearly no patient remaining in the hospitals. It's the end at least at the moment.

Here they are, not altered or enhanced by myself. I have called them drawing 1 and drawing 2 to identify the files. If you would like me to darken the cartoon lines, do say

A drawing I inherited was in colour and it is called "The Awakening of Galitea" a pre-Raphaelite and a nude. The artist was a Frenchman who changed his name as it meant 'pig fat'.

In the year 2000, after I posted it up on the internet doing research, I received a request from a Texan collector in the U.S. who wanted to buy it, but I refused. I inherited it from my Grandmother who had kept it hidden out of sight in the loft. The nudity she said was something one should never see. I never sold it.

Hopefully you will be able to find the artist and the story behind the drawings.

Scoubix very rarely gets in here. If you want him to read a message from you it would be better to PM him.
