Default Car not Locking on Fob

I fitted a both micro switches that were damaged on my key fob today, both now show led activity when pressed however, the fob will unlock all doors but will not lock the doors.

I have tried a resync by pressing the lock button 4 times and also a battery reset of 20 mins but still no joy.

Anyone got any ideas?

Could the lock motor be faulty?

Do the indicators flash ? If so it shows the signal is being sent

You could try this;

You resync the key fob as follows: lock the car and leave for 2mins, unlock with key in drivers door and put key in ignition and turn on then off, then press either of the remote buttons 4 times in 4 seconds.
Resynch is complete.
You may have to try this 2 or 3 times

Tried what Mickeyboy suggested but still no joy. I can see the indicators flash when I remote unlock via the fob but pressing the fob to lock does nothing, no indicator flash

I have to lock the doors by individually locking all the the doors using the door pin then lock the drivers door manually.

Is the unlock and lock sensors different or is it the same sensor?

I would suggest you've damaged something on the remote PCB while soldering the lock switch on in that case, there are a lot of small components in that area and it's easily done

Very interesting.

Thanks for the update.

You would expect that fuse to have affected all of the doors.--

It did it stopped all doors locking, but I would have thought that the unlocking and locking would be be on the same circuit.
